Leading with Clarity & Courage in Uncertain Times
In times of accelerated change, competitive advantage depends on Aesthetic Intelligence – the ability to sense what matters, understand what people love and trust, decide with conviction, and act with clarity. This four-day fellowship strengthens that capacity.
Held in a 14th century Mudéjar-style castle outside Toledo, Spain, this gathering is intended to gain critical perspective on the forces reshaping culture, creativity and commerce.
Led by Pauline Brown, former Chairman of LVMH North America and founder of Aesthetic Intelligence Group, and co-moderated by Paula Oriol, advisor to global brands and Head of the Fellowship Program at Aesthetic Intelligence Group.
Participation is by application only to ensure a carefully curated cohort.
The Fellowship is designed for financial, operational and creative leaders who:
Sharper insight into the shifts underway in society and culture well before they impact business performance and industry dynamics.
Propensity to make the right decisions and take the right actions when timing matters and information is incomplete.
Ability to turn your aesthetic vision values and sensibilities into a unique and compelling brand narrative and competitive strategy.
New ideas and possibilities sparked by a unique approach to envisioning a different future and crafting a roadmap to realize it.
Fellowship with other thoughtful, accomplished leaders, who share your values and are committed to continuing the conversations long after the program concludes.
A refined sense of how you show up and how you lead — one that will continue to shape your success long after the retreat is over.
Learning how taste, sensibility, and emotional resonance unlock value — and knowing how to leverage them strategically
Recognizing emerging patterns across society and culture before they become market shifts.
Making decisions when information is incomplete and the future is uncertain.
Interpreting current shifts within broader cultural and historical contexts to guide strategy.
The Global Fellowship marks the beginning of a lifelong relationship. All Fellows are invited into a small, trusted circle with access to:

Option 1 — Stay Inside the Castle
(Limited Availability)
Eleven bedrooms within the palace are available for those who wish to stay on the premises and fully experience a luxurious, modern interpretation of medieval royal living.
Option 2 — Stay at the Neighboring Hotel (3-minute walk to palace)
Set among olive groves and bordered by gentle streams, a larger hotel just beyond the castle walls provides additional accommodation and access to a scenic golf course. The property was designed by the same renowned architect who restored the palace.
Whether staying within the castle’s eleven private rooms or at the neighboring design hotel, the following components are included for all Fellows:
This is the only leadership program centered on developing Aesthetic Intelligence — a concept created by Pauline Brown, who personally leads the Fellowship.
After serving as Chair of North America at LVMH and as a Consumer & Retail Partner at The Carlyle Group, Pauline observed that enduring leaders share a distinct capability: they understand what people value, trust, and aspire to — often before the data makes it visible. She later wrote Aesthetic Intelligence and taught at Harvard and Columbia, continuing to explore how perception shapes performance.
The Fellowship has been architected together with Paula Oriol and has evolved through years of collaboration with leading thinkers in neuroscience, somatic practice, and business leadership.
This is not a tactical workshop, a networking forum, or a trend briefing. It is intended to enhance strategic judgment and leadership preparedness.
The Fellowship is designed for leaders who set direction across business, capital, culture, and creativity. It is for those who recognize that markets respond not only to metrics, but to meaning, and for those who realize that inherited playbooks no longer suffice.
In a time of rapid technological and societal change, leadership requires Aesthetic Intelligence: the ability to recognize what people value and trust before the data confirms it, and to translate that insight into the right decisions and actions.
Each cohort brings together up to 30 business and creative leaders who are prepared to examine their own thinking among peers of comparable depth and seriousness.
Participants are selected for influence, intellectual rigor, aesthetic literacy, and a commitment to long-term value creation. They may be investors, founders, CEOs, creative directors, board members, or institutional and cultural leaders.
Title matters less than responsibility, curiosity and authenticity.
The Fellowship is a four-day residential immersion held in a 14th-century palace in Toledo, Spain. This historic venue was chosen to contextualize today’s leadership questions within a space shaped by centuries of cultural and intellectual tradition.
The experience unfolds across three dimensions:
Strategic Inquiry
We explore the shifts reshaping customers, culture, and trust — and how aesthetic preferences often signal deeper change before metrics reflect it. This is not trend forecasting. It is interpretation and translation of external shifts into strategic choice.
Cognitive & Somatic Calibration
Through guided somatic sessions, cognitive exercises, and cross-sensory experiences, participants sharpen perceptual judgment. We examine personal taste not as decoration, but as structure — and how your own aesthetic lens shapes your decisions.
Immersive Cultural Context
Toledo — often described as one of the most layered cities in Europe, shaped over centuries by Christian, Muslim, and Jewish civilizations — becomes part of the inquiry. Through history, architecture, and food, Fellows explore how culture forms taste — and how taste shapes institutions and markets.
The aim is to sharpen your discernment and understand how perception drives strategy.
The outcome is not a certificate or a toolkit. It is a measurable shift in judgment.
Fellows leave better equipped to identify emerging cultural and customer shifts before they impact financial results. They gain clarity around brand direction, capital allocation, hiring, partnerships, and positioning — which is especially valuable in fast-moving and uncertain times.
They also develop a clearer understanding of their own aesthetic lens — and greater confidence in articulating why something will resonate, not just that it will.
The Fellowship strengthens discernment so that future decisions are grounded not only in data, but in a deeper understanding of human perception and value.
The Fellowship begins in Toledo — it does not end there.
Participants join a private circle that continues through curated digital exchanges and periodic gatherings. Over time, it becomes a trusted network of peers operating at the intersection of culture, creativity, and commerce.
The value compounds through sustained dialogue.
No.
While aesthetic intelligence is often associated with luxury and lifestyle sectors, its relevance extends well beyond those industries.
In finance, perception and trust form the backbone of strong relationships.
In technology, narrative and design influence adoption.
In healthcare, patient experience dramatically affect outcomes.
Wherever human judgment drives value creation, Aesthetic Intelligence becomes strategic.
The core experience is a four-day residential immersion.
Optional preparatory materials may be distributed in advance. There is no required coursework before or after the program.
Participation in the post-program circle is encouraged, but not obligatory.
Each cohort is intentionally limited to 30 participants.
The small scale allows for depth of dialogue, diversity of perspective, and the level of trust that cannot emerge in larger forums.
The Fellowship fee (LINK) includes the full four-day residency, all official programming, curated materials, shared meals during the immersion, and group transportation between Madrid and Toledo (approximately one hour each way).
It also includes access to future curated online gatherings and participation in the ongoing Fellowship circle — including periodic, informal convenings that emerge organically within the community.
Air travel to and from Madrid (the program’s starting point) is not included.
Participants may choose between:

Dietary preferences and restrictions are collected in advance. Given the care with which the program is designed, all needs — including allergies, intolerances, and cultural or personal preferences — will be carefully accommodated.

If unforeseen circumstances prevent attendance, participants may request to transfer their place to another qualified applicant, subject to approval and availability. Transfers are not guaranteed.
In cases of documented serious illness or urgent emergency, requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis with discretion and care.
Participants are encouraged to secure comprehensive travel insurance. For a short international trip, coverage is typically modest relative to the overall investment and often includes protection for illness, medical emergencies, and travel disruption. Providers such as Allianz Travel, World Nomads, AXA Travel Insurance, or SafetyWing are commonly used, though participants may choose any provider that offers appropriate coverage.
